Beaches in La Axarquía 1: 20 minutes from the hotel
TORRE DEL MAR
The closest beach to Cortijo de Salia. Belonging to the municipality of Velez-Malaga, Torre del Mar is one of the largest villages on the coast of Axarquia.
Here you will find accessible beaches, with all the services and with many beach bars, restaurants or shops along its 4 kilometres of promenade, which extend from the Levante beach to the Poniente beach. It is, therefore, a very suitable place both for going to the beach and for strolling along its long and lively promenade at any time of the year.
Beaches in La Axarquía 2: A 35 minutes from the hotel
TORROX COSTA
One of the most famous coastal towns of the Axarquia, for its beaches and for being considered as the place with “the best climate in Europe” due to its mild temperatures all year round and its low rainfall.
Torrox has several beaches all along its municipality, the most outstanding being El Peñoncillo beach, a semi-urban beach of 1400 metres long, located in the centre of the village. There are also some smaller coves nearby if you are looking for a more secluded beach.

NERJA
Nerja is probably the best known tourist town on the Axarquia coast, both for the charm of the town itself and for its beaches and monuments.
Here you can visit the famous Caves of Nerja, enjoy the views from the Balcon de Europa or go to the park where you can see Chanquete’s Boat. And, of course, you can bathe in its numerous coves and beaches, such as Burriana, one of the most popular. In the municipality of Nerja you will also find the town of Maro, which is home to places and coves of spectacular beauty for diving or water activities such as paddle surfing, within the Maro-Cerro Gordo Cliffs Nature Reserve.

RINCÓN DE LA VICTORIA
Next to Malaga city, you will find Rincón de la Victoria, where you can enjoy extensive beaches along its 8 km. of coastline distributed in several municipalities such as the village of Rincón de la Victoria itself, Cala del Moral or Torre de Benagalbón.
In the area of El Cantal, you will also find a beautiful beach promenade with tunnels carved into the stone that cross the cliffs and connect La Cala del Moral with Rincón de la Victoria.

MÁLAGA
In the city of Malaga, you can enjoy various activities ranging from cultural tourism in its numerous museums, shopping tourism or simply a stroll through its monuments and its main streets and squares.
And you can combine all this with a day of sun and sea on one of its beaches, among which La Malagueta or El Palo beach stand out, where you can also taste the famous espetos and fried fish in one of its beach bars and restaurants.

LA COSTA TROPICAL
Passing Nerja, the last village of the Axarquia on the border with Granada, we find the Tropical Coast, located entirely in the province of Granada.
Here you also have a multitude of coastal towns where you can enjoy a day at the beach or diving and water sports in places like La Herradura (within the Natural Park of the Cliffs of Maro-Cerro Gordo), Almuñécar, Salobreña or even Motril.
