NATURAL PARK OF THE SIERRAS OF ALHAMA, TEJEDA AND THE ALMIJARA

We are in the Sierra de Tejeda Natural Park, a space of extraordinary beauty where nature makes its way to offer us dreamy landscapes. From our hotel you will have great views of the valley and some of the highest peaks in the Natural Park.

The are several and very diverse hiking trails in this area. From the ascent to the highest peak in the entire province of Malaga, La Maroma, where you will have spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea and the entire Natural Park, to others where you can find waterfalls, rivers or gorges.

Alcaucín, the town where we are located, is one of the nerve centers of the Sierra de Tejeda Natural Park, from where several of the routes leave. In addition, here is the natural monument of the Tajos del Alcázar, which you can see from the viewpoint located in its recreational area.

MONUMENTAL CITIES IN ANDALUSIA

At a suitable distance for a 1-day visit, we have two of the main cities in Andalusia. Cities full of history where you can visit monuments, museums or stroll through its most traditional neighborhoods.

Malaga, 50 minutes from the hotel, presents itself as a renewed city, where cultural life has gained great importance thanks to its museums: The Picasso Museum, The Pompidu, The Thyssen or the CAC (Center for Contemporary Art). This, together with places like its historic center, the Alcazaba or its beaches, its promenades and its gastronomic offer, will make your visit to Malaga a unique moment.

Granada, 1 hour and 15 minutes away, is another of the cities to keep in mind on your excursions from the El Cortijo de Salia. In this charming city, the Alhambra, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, stands out above all else. One of the most spectacular and visited monuments in the entire Spanish geography.
